The authors describe 11 cases of malaria at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, Faculty Hospital,Plzeň admitted to hospital in the course of 15 years. They give an accopunt of different typesof Plasmodia in different patients, the site of infection and applied treatment or prophylaxis.The authors emphasize the necessity of early and correct diagnosis and early initiation ofadequate treatment.
