As a result of the development of hepatic surgery the necessity arose of more accurate,quantitative assessment of the functional state of the liver. The authors provide informationon tests with indocyanin green, the lidocaine test, MEGX-test the test of mono-ethyl-glycine-xylidide formation test, the aminopyrine breath test, the galactose elimination test and mentionalso other possible quantitative liver function tests.
