Overview
The goal of a drug policy of every state should be ensuring safe, efficient and high quality pharmaceuticals, ensuring a maximum amount of a curative care for a limited amount of financial resources and provision of this care to all who really need it. The main actors in this process in CR are the National Institute for Drug Control, drug manufacturers, macrodistribution, physicians, pharmacists, patients, health insurance companies, the ministry of health, the ministry of finance, parliament. Each of these components has significant deficit in its activities, thus the goals of drug policy of CR stay unfulfilled. Taking into account the current political spectrum in CR, it is not possible to count on radical measures, which would bring considerable improvement in an upcoming period.
Key words:
drug policy – safe pharmaceuticals – drug interactions – drug manufacturers – macrodistribution
