The author describes briefiy the history of detection of Lyme borreliosis, gives an account of clinical manifestations of the disease, draws attention to Basic diagnostic methods used for verification of the etiologickl genesis of borreliosis and the problem of interpretation of laboratory results. Finally he reminds of possible occupational risks of contracting the disease.
