Overview
There are many diseases associated with Raynaud´s phenomenon. One of its causes may be also work with vibrating tools. Thepathogenesis of the development of this affection is obscure. The diagnosis is based on the case-history and evidence of whitefingers during the cold water test. There are several patterns for quantitative evalution of the severity of the affection. So farinternational agreement is lacking as to limit which should not to be exceeded in work with vibrating instruments. Also criteria foraccepting Raynaud´s phenomenon caused by vibrations as an occupational disease differ in different countries. In other countriesas a rule the procedure of evaluating the occupational character of the disease and payment of damages is stricter than in thiscountry.
