Overview
The authors analyzed the documentation of 70 patients reported in 1996-1999 as suffering from occupational pneumoconiosis. In the majority simple silicosis (31 patients) was involved or simple miner´s pneumoconiosis (23 patients). As compared withprevious work, the authors recorded shortening of exposure period in workers of black coal mines and quarries and shortening ofthe exposure time in simple silicosis and simple miner´s pneumoconiosis. In 38 patients also non- occupational diseases werefound, most frequently cardiovascular, disease of the locomotor and digestive system. The problem of pneumoconioses (in particu-lar follow up examinations) deserves attention also in future.
