Overview
The second part of the paper characterizes particular systems of sickness insurance in other selected states of European Union and outside EU, i. e. Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Portugal, Greece, Island and the Czech Republic. The content is structured in a standard way in order to be able to compare these systems, namely the system of sickness insurance, conditions of the claim of sickness allowances payed by an employer, allowances payed by the state and taxation of allowances. The summary table is presented at the end of the text.
