Overview
The parental alienation syndrome (PAS) is a childhood disorder that arises within the contextof child-custody disputes. Its primary manifestation is child’s campaign of denigration againstthe other parent that has no justification. The alienating parent programs into the child ideasand attitudes that are at variance with the child’s previous experience; PAS children add theirown scenarios. PAS results from the combination of a programming (brainwashing) parent’sindoctrinations and the child’s own contributions to the vilification of the target parent. Thearticle resumes techniques and motives of alienating parents, PAS symptoms and malignantconsequences; suggests therapeutic solutions in Czech juridical background; counsels to GP’sto cease improper actions.
