The author describes the contemporary classification of antirheumatic drugs according to thedifferent bloc of two cyclooxygenase isoenzymes. She discusses the effects of all mentionedgroups, advantages of better tolerance of more recent groups and their clinical side-effects. Theoverview is completed by the recommendation of the consultant addressed to the GP how toindicate correctly different groups of drugs. Regulations of the General Insurance Companyregarding prescription and prices of these drugs are also given.
