Overview

Authors present a summarizing view on the topic of tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) at children in the last 16 years. They review the main microbiological causes and the diagnostic methods. Thanks to detailed epidemiologic data they indicate changes in incidence of TBC and NTM after the cancellation of the obligatory vaccination. They discuss benefits and disadvantages of this cancellation.
