Oral candidiasis is even nowadays an urgent medical problem. In dental practicedifferent forms and clinical pictures of Candida infections are encountered. A specific place isheld by denture-induced stomatitis. The authors present basic general findings on Candidayeasts, a list of clinical entities and their manifestations on the oral mucosa, the m ost importantmicrobiological examination methods and possible general and local therapy.
