Overview
Breathing disorders such as breathing difficulties, dyspnoea can be caused by various reasons. One possible reason is a change in breathing pattern caused by functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. For this reason it is important to assess a breathing pattern. If there is a dysfunction of this pattern, it is necessary to include respiratory physiotherapy and other physiotherapeutic concepts in comprehensive treatment to minimize or eliminate these breathing difficulties. It is important to evaluate the mobility of the rib cage during breathing, to assess breathing pattern and to evaluate all functions of the respiratory muscles. Disorder only in one of these functions can lead to respiratory problems, which are not caused by any structural diseases. Rehabilitation treatment is one of the most important types of therapy in these patients.
