Various medical disciplines (stomatology/orthodontics, otorhinolaryngology, neurology, and rheumatology)deal with the dysfunctions of temporomandibular joint as well as musculoskeletal medicine.This article summarizes knowledge related to this much-discussed subject from the perspective ofmusculoskeletal medicine. The understanding of particular reasons of the temporomandibulardysfunction and its interrelations increases the possibility to manage common complaints, such asheadaches, vertigo, tinnitus and some hearing problems.
