The reimbursement of applied oral medical preparations in chronically ill population in sojourn institutions of social services (PZSS) is the continuing and so far unsolved source of controversy between the provider and profession representative of the largest group of indicating physicians – the Association of General Practitioners of the Czech Republic since the expertise 913 (general nurse in social services) had been introduced into the List of Medical Interventions with item values and the entry of PZSS into the network of medical service providers. The article recapitulates the origin and development of the relevant problems since 2007 to the present time.
