Overview

The authors are mapping the postgraduate education for physicians reviewers in the course of the time and at the same time they reconsider its further development in relation to upcoming organizational changes in activities of the medical assessment service and ongoing legislative changes in the system of postgraduate medical education. A half of all physicians working currently at the resort medical assessment service of the Ministry of Work and Social Affairs does not comply to prescribed requirements on education. The initiated process of accreditation of resort workplaces of the medical assessment service and the result of the decision on the form of postgraduate education of physicians reviewers are important steps on establishing an independent review body.
