The authors present a basic overview of pathophysiology, correct diagnosis and therapy in adult and pediatric patients.
Although the awareness of sleep medicine improves, we still encounter incorrect procedures that can harm the patient. The physician who deals with sleep disturbances should have at least basic education in somnology.
