The author presents a group of children with maxillofacial trauma, treated atthe Clinic of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of a Jessenius Medical Faculty, ComeniusUniversity and a Faculty Hospital in Martin (JLF UK and MFN) during a period of five years.They concentrate on a specific anatomical composition of a facial skeleton in children, psychicalaspects, difficulties with examination and diagnostics.Based on the analysis of causes of traumain infants they refer to the possibilities to reduce the infant accident rate.
