Overview
A correct activation of diaphragm is important for breathing as well as for physiological stabilization of the trunk. The selected group included 50 patients at the age of 24 – 52 years with identical diagnosis of UCS. The patients were divided at random into two identical groups. In the first group, kinesiology was executed with the aim of diaphragm activation and correct breathing and in the second group kinesiology was supplemental with physical therapy. The results were statistically processed and evaluated. In the beginning, 45 patients had incorrect breathing stereotype. A positive diaphragm test was observed in 36 patients and correct diaphragm activation in 14 patients. When kinesiotherapy was finished, the correct breathing stereotype was observed in 33 patients, whereas 17 patients it remained incorrect. The diaphragm test after the end of kinesiotherapy was positive in 14 patients and negative in 36 patients. The breathing stereotype improved in 28 patients and diaphragm activation expressed by the diaphragm test improved in 22 patients.
