The contribution refers to belated therapy, the results and quality of life in a female patient with severecognitive disorder, whose subsequent treatment was sought by her husband.The basic requirementfrom ethical and medical policy reasons is to provide the patients, whose life was saved by acutemedical care, to reach best possible quality of life, self-reliance and independence. It should enablethe individuals to find again their place in the society.
