Overview

The work undertakes a problem of evaluation of a new method that provides transcutaneouspenetration of a medicament – electrophonophoresis. It is based on the long-term experience inphysiotherapy in the area of ionophoresis and phonophoresis. An experimental research carried outwith fresh beef and pork flesh proved unanimously that the colouring agent penetrates 50 % deperin comparison to traditional methods. It is worth noticing that the above results could be obtainedwith the parameters of the current and ultrasound reduced by 50 % when compared to phonophoresisand electrophoresis. Therefore better tolerance of the method by patients can be expected. Theclinical investigations in the group of patients with lumbal pain confirmed high therapeutic efficacyin comparison with traditional methods.
