Overview
Resveratrol is a fytoalexin produced naturally by the plants as a response to the stress, injury or fungal infection. Resveratrol was isolated from red wine and was connect with cardioprotective effect of this. Resveratrol exhibits a wide range of biological effects, including protection of the cardiovascular system and skin cells and is also proposed as a cancer – preventive agent.
