Overview
The cooperation with the nephrologist is very important for physicians reviewers in their process of assessing health status for the purpose of acknowledging exceptional benefits in clients with chronic failure of kidneys. Currently, only few physicians reviewers have their own experience with the clinical practice in the field of nephrology. The development of this field is very intensive, with significant changes of diagnostic and therapeutic options which can have a principal impact on the work of the physician reviewer. The aim of the paper is to complete or enlarge the view on data disponible from nefrologist and which the physician reviewer can demand in assessing health status for the purpose of acknowledging exceptional benefits. The paper also presents the current status of applications for exceptional benefits and their acknowledgments at the three nephrological clinics in districts of Uherské Hradiště, Hodonín and Břeclav with the presentations of case studies in more complicated cases.
