Overview
The author reflects on the chronic backache, treatment options and presents also some new terms, e. g. pain behaviour. This is a big problem of the practice in Revision Medicine since the pain is subjective and difficult to prove and verify. On the top of that, compared to diagnostic and treatment algorithms there is no algorithm for reviewing activities.
Key words:
vertebral diseases – prolapse of an intervertebral disc – physical therapy – acupuncture – pain behaviour – failed back surgery syndrome
