Overview
The incidence of non-healing wounds, particularly pressure ulcers, is one of the important indicators of quality of provided care in current nursing practice. Professional societies dealing with complex issues of non-healing wounds, put more and more emphasis on the actual prevention of such wounds. The article presents the results of a survey dealing with preventive measures in the elderly conducted by general nurses in clinical practice.
