Burn out syndrome and assessment doctors

Overview

Here the authors present the results of quantitative and qualitative research called “Burn out syndrome of assessment doctors, its cause and solution” conducted by the Faktum Invenion society on behalf of the Ministry of Labour and social affairs at the end of 2008. The results show that assessment doctors are not currently significantly threatened by the risk of burn out syndrome. In conclusion the authors compare the possible threat of burn out syndrome of assessment doctors and general practitioners and point out common challenges both medical branches face- administrative load and clients communication. It is necessary to make assessment doctors and general practitioners, lay and expert public aware of the demand and irreplaceability of this activity. They recommend that assessment doctors focus more on personnel resources to prevent risk of burn out syndrome.
