Overview
Atopic dermatitis is considered to be an important slon atopic disease, which may be converted to the dermorespiratory syndrome.Frequency of atopic dermatitis is increasing and aim of the study was to estimate prevalence of this disease among children in the town Olomouc.Information was gained from dermatologists at the dermatology clinic of the Faculty Hospital in Olomouc, dermatology department of the Military Hospital in Olomouc and from the field dermatologists in the town Olomouc.Atopic dermatitis prevalence of 0.73 % is lower than expected and reason for that is probably due to the fact that ohly the serious cases are treated by dermatologists and the other ones are treated by pediatricians.High pozitivity of family history (35.8 %) opens the space for primary prevention in such families. The IgE investigation is not used verv frequently. Conversion to the dermorespiratory syndrome was found in 2.6 % cases only.
