Effectiveness of Hygienic Phase at Different Types of Patients in Relation to Oral Hygiene State Evaluated Using CPINT Index

Overview
The authors on a series of 256 patients aged 18–60 years followed up the effectiveness of a complete hygienic phase and recall on the development and extent of periondotitis, using CPITN index.
CPITN index was found decreased between the first and control visit. Between the control and recall the increase CPITN index was observed. Introduction of the hygienic phase in oral hygiene had a significant with its impact on the sanitary condition of periodont. Therefore, the authors recommend the hygienic phase as an integral part of the treatment plan in each and every patient.
