Overview
Free-running and Q-switched infrared Er:
YAG laser radiations, ultrasonic ball tip, and classical hand piece drilling machine were compared in the case of hard dental tissues preparation. For the radiation delivery, a special waveguide transfer system was used. Light-cured, high viscosity flowable HDR microfilled hybrid composite material was used for restorations. The longitudinal sections of extracted human teeth with filling material were compared from the point of view of prepared cavity shape and filling material in scanning electron microscope.
