Overview
During the past two years in the gynaecological literatuře four papers esere published devoted to four groups of modem Contraception (1, 2, 3, 4). The authors are in all instances large working groups (11-14 members) formed by specialists in in - and out - patient gynaecology. These texty can be considered the contemporary view of the gynaecological community to whom and how to prescribe modem Contraception, and it would be useful if also general practitioners and possibly doctors from other disciplines, if consulted by their clients and patients, would use the same language. The following text is an abstract of all four published recommendations. It is focused above all on questions which pertain to non-gynaecological practice. The complete text except the above mentioned quotations can be found also on internet page www-levret.cz (section Doporučené postupy).
