Overview
For vaginal precanceroses there is used a common term VAIN – vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia. The most often it occurs in association with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and in vaginal stump after hysterectomy. The article presents an overview of VAIN occurence and epidemiology and its diagnostics and it deals apart with vaginal adenosis. In the conclusion there are presented VAIN surgical and conservative therapeutical possibilities.
