Overview
In the context of the data from the professional literature, the paper discusses the recommendation of the State Institute for Drug Control in Prague to pharmacies and several other problems related to the effect of the pH of the environment on the antimicrobial effect of methylparabene, propylparabene, peracetic acid, benzalkonium-chloride, carbethopendecinium-bromide, thiomersal, phenyl hydrargyrium borate, and sorbic acid in medicinal preparations prepared in pharmacies.
