Overview
The author presents an overview of the incidence of penis carcinoma on the African continent (Nigeria) and explains the causes of high incidence of penis tumor in association with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). He also discusses the socioeconomic factors in Nigeria and the availability of medical care. He comments on the patients´ attitude towards the disease, their hygienic and ritual practices, economic factors and limited availability of medical centers in Nigeria offering adequate medical care.
