Overview
Endourology has an important role in the diagnosis and management of upper tract urothelial malignancy. In this review article we discuss the evolution of this role in the face of developing laparoscopic and robotic techniques, and a greater understanding for the natural course of the disease. We will discuss the current criteria for patient selection using endoscopic biopsy and adjunctive imaging modalities, and provide a step-by-step discussion of both the antegrade and retrograde endoscopic approaches to management of this disease.
