Overview

Vulvar melanoma is the second most frequent malignant tumor of the vulva. It is usually diagnosed later and it’s prognosis is worse compared to skin melanoma. Adequate surgical procedure both at the vulva and regional lymphatic nodes is essential in early stages of vulvar melanoma whereas individual regimen with palliative intent is common in late stages.

Key words:
desmoplastic melanoma – sentinel node – vulvar melanoma
