Overview

The study analyzes the complexity of infertility and impaired fertility treatment in relation to the risk of ovarian cancer in the Czech Republic and abroad. The key role of in vitro fertilization as an infertility treatment is pointed out as well as etiological factors increasing the risk of ovarian cancer. Basic hypotheses for effects of medicaments treating infertility in relation to the etiology of ovarian tumours are summarized in this study and all the findings are documented in a list of contemporary and prior international studies. The authors present prospective resources of relevant information on assisted reproduction, which are subjects to further analyses.
