Overview
The author points out the great pandemics in history, which significantly affected the further development of society and subsequently led to fundamental societal changes and in many cases to the collapse of existing civilization. It draws attention to the serious economic, political and social consequences of pandemics in the past and wonders what the current coronavirus pandemic will lead to in the light of these historical experiences. Finally, it underlines the need for global problem-solving (including covid-19) at the international level.
