The authors describe three cases of hyperextension injuries of the cervical spine with neurologicalcomplication, one case of a whiplash injury with symptoms of a cerebrovascular attack,one case of hyperflexion compresive injury. In all instances it was very useful mainly from theassessment aspect but also from the diagnostic and therapeutic aspect to assess the possiblemechanism of the injury of the cervical spine.
