Overview
Self-fulfilment in working activity is an important part of the quality of life in general.Oncological disease restricts almost always patients in their personal, family and working life.Problems of the loss of self-fulfilment at work are enhanced by economic complications. Thisproblem is articularly urgent in patients in productive age with dependent children. In our opinion it is therefore very important to apply findings from psychotherapy - logotherapyto find a sense of life. We inform patients systematically on the necessity of working activity, though restricted, the necessity to pursue hobbies and activities and focus their attention onthis area. We point out examples where the patients were able to achieve balance with theirdisease - incl. the restricted activities and serve by their lives as an example to others.
Key words:
quality of life - oncological disease - restricted working activity - psychotherapy.
