The personality of the greatest Jewish thinker, philosopher and physician is presented. Attentionis devoted to his biography, to his most important philosophical and theological works andespecially to his medical writings, reflecting rational thinking. His knowledge that the reasonis able to find the truth is pointed out as well as his conviction of the extreme importance of thebiopsychospiritual approach in clinical medicine.
