Overview
Patients with diabetes mellitus are at risk of developing a variety of complications, and a large part of their are associated directly or indirectly to the peripheral and / or central nervous system. The objective of this work is to acquaint readers with a variety of potential complications in the peripheral nervous system associated with diabetes mellitus. The thesis describes in detail the relative clinical features of different types and forms of neuropathy, including diagnosis and new diagnostic methods for detection of neuropathy. Thesis gives an overview of the recommendations recently for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy.
Key words:
autonomic neuropathy – complications – diabetes mellitus – peripheral neuropathy
