Overview

Nontraumatic, exertional forms of rhabdomyolysis may be more common than used to be diagnosed, probably because most people with milder forms of the syndrome do not seek medical attention. We report the case of 18-year old boy with symptomatic rhabdomyolysis, which arose after heavy physical exercise at the fitness center and point out the issues of diagnosis, course and treatment of this condition in children.

Key words:
rhabdomyolysis, workout, fitness center
