Overview
Ingestion of a foreign body is often complaint of parents of children in pediatric clinics. The possibilities of the latest diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and techniques sometimes tempt to use them immediately without considering adverse effects. If you do not necessarily need to interfere with the functioning of the human body it is not desirable to expose a child to complications of endoscopic or surgical treatment. According to many Czech and foreign studies I’ve tried to handle this issue and the result is an overview of procedures that have worked and which are part of international recommendations.
