Overview
Atypical fibroxanthoma is a rare skin tumor that occurs predominantly on the sun-damaged skin of the head and neck of elderly men. Clinically and histologically it can mimic other neoplasms with higher malignant potential. The diagnosis is established by immunohistochemistry. Wide excision with safety margins of 1–2 cm is the therapy of choice. The case of 75-year old man with fibroxanthoma is described. Dermoscopy findings of structureless red area with lighter districts and distorted angiectasias is provided.
