The paper deals with the evaluation of the mastication efficiency in a group of38 pacients with old full denture substitutions and the same group with full denture substitutionmade by the method according to Gerber.The authors also evaluated the mastication efficiency in a control group of 11 patients withnatural teeth, and the results of evaluation were compared with those of the group of patientswith full denture substitution.The group of patients with full denture substitution made by the method according to Gerberrevealed better results that the group of patients with old full denture substitution.The production of full denture substitution by the method according to Gerber definitelycontributed to better results in the patients.The group of patients with natural teeth displayed the best results.
