The paper gives a brief outline of physiology, biochemistry and anatomy of cholinergic system.The information on some possibilities of pharmacological intervention in cholinergic transfer ispresented. Some investigations with the administration of cholinomimetic drugs in schizophreniaare described. The author analyzes theoretical reasons of such procedures.
