Overview
Not only cardiologists but also other specialists are faced with diagnoses and differential diagnoses of acute coronary syndrome. The paper provides an overview, in chronological order, of some difficulties and mistakes in history taking, clinical examinations and the conduct of standard investigations as part of the diagnostic process. Furthermore, the paper outlines possible treatment shortfalls and errors. Rapid diagnosis and correct treatment are the main prerequisites for preventing serious complications or even death in acute coronary syndrome.
