The authors present three case reports of TUR syndrome. It is one of the severe complications of transurethral resection of the prostate. Its clinicalcourse can be different – from only biochemical changes to the life-threatening situation. They describe clinical symptoms and the biochemical changes.The early diagnosis and adequate therapy are the most important measures. The authors also mention limited possibilities for the prevention of thissyndrome.
