Overview
The aim of the thesis was to create an insight into the current state of knowledge and procedures on the interconnection of physiotherapy and psychological care in sport based on a study of literature and a summary of theoretical background. It can be stated that almost no space is devoted to this topic in Czech literature. Foreign sources are discussing this issue and studies address the various issues of continuity of these two disciplines and the training of physiotherapists in sports psychology. According to available information it would be possible to create an educational concept in our country for training of physiotherapists to be able to communicate more effectively with athletes. By combining the knowledge of sports psychologists, coaches, physiotherapists and athletes themselves, a program could be developed to deepen the skills of a physiotherapist in a sports environment, but also to define the boundaries that physiotherapists should not exceed in any psychological activity.
