Overview
Incidence of breast cancer is continuously on the increase in all age groups of women and represents serious socially – economy – political problem. Primary prevention of breast cancer is not possible. Mammography is able to detect breast cancer in the preclinical stage and thus leads to decrease of the mortality. We represent a cohort of 91 519 of the results of mammographic examinations from the year 2002 to 2013. In this cohort 1 338 of the breast cancer was detected. Stage of the breast cancer TIS (carcinoma in situ) was recorded in 164 women (12,3%), stage T1a in 63 women (4,7%), and stage T1b in 121 women (9%) and the stage T1c in 706 women (26,7%). Early stage of the breast cancer was proved in 706 women (52,7%) in total. In the cohort of the screening mammography the early stage of the breast cancer was recorded in 55,2%. Acknowledgement belongs to gynecologists and practicing physicians.
Key words:
