Overview
The paper describes the case of the call center female employee with scars on vocal folds as an occupational disease. Diseases occurring in the Czech Republic originated at work are associated with high occupationally based voice strain and they are often acknowledged as occupational diseases. However, especially physicians who provide occupational-medical services, who are engaged in industrial or occupational hygiene or acknowledge occupational diseases, should keep in mind that they may encounter less frequent diseases.
